i am currently unable to find any documentation on the use of i18 with iX components. i do see that there exist attributes. but nowhere how to use them in well defined manner.
do you have a resource somewhere hidden? perhaps some code examples?

As you already spotted, each component that displays any kind of text provides properties to allow setting custom strings.
This is mainly aimed to support i18n. Since each framework/library handles i18n differently, there is no general guide on the topic hidden anywhere.
Is there a specific aspect you need help with?
